The natural world offers a range of colours you may not expect.
I apply colour using a natural dye process on materials such as wool. I dye using avocado skins and stones, onion skins and red cabbage. I also out source naturally dyed wool to give me a wide range of colours to work with.
Onion skins create a warm coloured wool. I enjoy using onion skins as a dye as otherwise the onion skins would just become waste.
Iron water modifies colour, turning purple to blue.
Using scraps of naturally dyed fabric to create patchworks.
